The route follows the tracks of General Martín Miguel de Güemes and his gauchos across the La Quesera Valley, through cloud forest landscapes and the flora and fauna of the Salta highlands.
Along the way you visit the Chapel of La Quesera, Jesuit in origin and built in 1632 — famous as General Güemes' last shelter on his final ride towards the Quebrada de la Horqueta, where he passed into history on 17 June 1821.
